I don't think it would be that bad. Powell Valley has been a pretty average team since '98. I'm sure everyone from PV thought they were gonna beat Honaker pretty bad back in '02. [img]wink.gif[/img]

Well its not IF haysi will play powell valley, its WHEN. These two teams appear destined to meet this year and PV will be a clear favorite. But make no mistake Haysi is no Lee High and the score will be within 2 td's.

I agree biggamesjames. These two schools should meet in the regional playoffs.

Yeah they probally will meet in the playoffs but the score WILL NOT be within 2 td's. PV is absolutely loaded this year. They would have beaten Haysi last year and they will kill them this year. Face it people, every year from now on the region champ will be either GC or PV. Back when Honaker and Haysi and Clintwood won region championships that was when GC was still AA and PV was having a rebuilding year but now either GC or PV one will be awesome every year.

It's hard for a school as small as haysi to play against PV or GC but make no mistake haysi, honaker, and clintwood will all three have regional championships again.

Jog my memory. When was the last time that Clintwood captured the regional championship in football? The last one that I can remember was back in the 70's. But then again I am getting old and my memory isn't was it should be.

When Haysi won the regional championship in 91 they beat PV head to head and PV beat Gate City that same year. When Haysi won the Region in 93 they beat PV with Thomas Jones at Tailback...thats not really rebuilding [img]smile.gif[/img] Honaker has beaten PV the last several times they have played them and gave Gate City all they could handle in the Regional championship a couple of years ago...plz know what u are talking about before your next post.
